Song of the Day: Bing Crosby – Dear Hearts And Gentle People

Dear Hearts And Gentle People is definitely a throwback to a simpler time where things were obviously quite different than they are currently. Most people probably do not read ‘the good book’ from Friday until Monday anymore and the climate is one of wariness more than anything, as people close themselves off from one another, escaping into technology rather than human contact. That being said, the Bob Hilliard and Sammy Fain penned-song about the friendliness and good will between neighbours in a small town is quite good, easy to sing along to, one that is sweet and even inspirational in a way, and sung to perfection by the one and only, Bing Crosby.
