Sunday Sessions – The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song

Just recently, Billy Joel was awarded The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, an award given to a person in recognition for their contribution to music.  There can be no doubt that Billy Joel has given a lot to the art form with innumerable songs over the last forty years or so.  The show saw many performers honour the man by both hosting and performing including Kevin Spacey, Josh Groban, Leann Rimes, John Mellencamp, Tony Bennett and more.  While he is deserving of the award he has not been the only recipient, so after you watch the show check out some of the previous winners below.
