Traversing through a swamp to get to Shamballah on a more direct route, Morgan and company meet danger in the form of a man whom Morgan had encountered during his last adventure upon the surface. Kidnapping Mariah and Machiste, the man named Stryker has a grudge against Morgan, especially as he cost Stryker an eye and more. A great little tale by Mike Grell once again, which continues the long journey of the companions towards Morgan’s lost love Tara, and her far-off kingdom. It seems that no matter where Morgan goes he either creates an enemy or has one coming back after him. It must be his winning personality. The artwork on the book keeps getting better and better as every issue passes, with the panel layouts getting more inventive and everything from clothing to the fauna getting more detailed. Yet another great story by Grell and DC.
