The third part of The Dzyan Inheritance finds Neptune Perkins being tortured by the Nazis, specifically, Dr. Thule and Helmut Streicher and they do as such in order to both torment Argor and gain the secrets of the Vril which they have been slowly siphoning away from him. Roy Thomas and Ron Harris then give readers a bit of drama as the two characters, grandfather and grandson have a conversation about their lives, where they are now, what happened and just how they will be able to move forward. For their part, the Nazis who are close by are determined to get what they want and despite the pleading of Argor, they continue their torture and spell out why they do as such. Readers also see how the Nazis convinced Kalla to go along with them, to betray Argor though she did not think of it as such which leads to where they are now and her body being thrown in the ocean, discarded like trash. Everything is not as it looks though, there are cracks in the armour so to speak as Streicher and Thule do not get along and when the Vril is ready to be tested, it is Thule who steps into the chamber to absorb it and become all-powerful. As it is though, there might be too much power for Thule to command for he has no training and his body may not handle the rigour of it. Elsewhere, it seems as if Kalla yet lives and Thomas leaves the book off on a very unexpected cliff-hanger with the introduction of a character nobody would expect to see though one that is somehow fitting given the other literary elements that were woven into the story. Also surprising is that there are other Dzyan that are still alive, especially given the slaughter that happened during the first part of the story. How they factor into what happens next should be interesting to see as Thule now has command of the Vril. Will Argor be able to free himself and regain command of that mystical power, will the All-Stars be able to free themselves after being soundly defeated and will Neptune gain the vengeance he has come seeking are all questions that should make the next chapter of this story a lot of fun and a necessary read.
