While the Tribe have been out acquiring a new home to call their own, what with Midian having been destroyed, Boone and Lori have just been taking it easy, trying to not think about the others or what they are doing. Things take a turn though when the priest who was touched by Baphomet comes calling and he just so happens to have the Berserkers with him which means a whole lot of trouble. Ever since the book jumped time frames, now taking place after the film, it has been getting much more interesting. Readers get to see the aftermath of those events and what exactly happens to the former residents of Midian after being stranded in that barn during the last shot of the movie. It is good to see that the Breed have an enemy as it will keep things interesting though when one thinks about it, they already have a planet full of them and they did not really need anything to make it that much harder. What is a little sad to see for readers in this latest chapter is how little Boone wants to do with the Tribes of the Moon, especially after they took him in and gave him a place to call his own. One of the bright spots in the book is the relationship between Shuna Sassi and Peloquin who make a great couple and it is funny seeing them banter with each other, the two having known each other for a very long time. The artwork still looks great on the title with Devmalya Pramanik joining Emmanuel Xerx Javier and it is a perfect fit for the horror-filled story within. The next issue looks to be a doozy as Marc Andreyko would leave readers on a nice little cliff-hanger and it should bring all of the characters back together again and should it not, nothing else will. This continues to be a fun title that is sure to please those who fell in love with the film or the novel.
