Helix takes center stage with this issue as they go to trial, in a way, to decide if they should be given a second shot at freedom or if they should all be locked up as the villains they are. So it is that Roy Thomas and penciller Martin King present an issue unlike any other in the series thus far where the only fisticuffs present are those of the verbal kind and even then, few of those are thrown. As it turns out, there are numerous members of Infinity Inc. that believe Helix deserves a second chance starting with Lyta. She is soon followed on the stand by Doctor Midnight and even the parents of Wildcat who stand up for them much to the surprise of Yolanda. All the while that this is going on, it seems like Helix has some sort of dastardly plan to enact should things not go their way and one cannot help but see them as the bad guys that they have been up until this point but as it stands, they might be looking to reform their ways. Throughout it all stands Mr. Bones, trying to calm his team down from whatever rash decisions they might make, seemingly taking a vested interest in what is happening. The fact that the man is cooperating is quite strange to see given what readers have seen in issues past and yet Bones is on his best behaviour and when all is said and done, he and Helix go along with the court’s recommendation to the shock of everyone, most especially Skyman. What shocks Skyman even further is that Mr. Bones has just been remanded into the custody of Infinity Inc. permanently. Readers will also get to see a little story progression on the Lyta/Hector Hall front which has been stagnating for quite some time. Where Lyta believes that things are going to be all right between the two of them, the reality is something far different and when all is said and done, Hall has a new identity while Lyta has to get used to the fact that she is going to be a single mother. Though Helix might have taken up the bulk of the story, it turned out to be a decent time and it definitely makes readers wonder just what is going to happen with Mr. Bones moving forward.
