The members of Helix are still fighting amongst themselves, so much so that they have split into two groups, one that has set off to find Mr. Bones and those that are left, remaining with Carcharo. As for the Infinitors, they too are doing a little bit of bickering with Wildcat who wants to know why his namesake has not been made a member of the team yet and when it all comes down to it, despite their reasoning, there really is no good reason other than a feeling that there was something off about her. As it turns out, Yolanda has been looking for Helix and manages to get into a tussle with a few of them though is quickly overpowered by the returning Mr. Bones who escaped his prison in the last issue. Roy Thomas and Todd McFarlane create a fun issue, the usually dour Helix actually putting in a good appearance here though, at this point in the game, it is hopeful this is their last outing for a little while so that some new villains might take their place. As it is, while there is a bit of action during the first half of the book, it picks up even more during the second as Helix battles Infinity Inc. with neither of the teams seeming to get the better of the other though in the end, only one will walk away and it is easy to deduce as to who that will be. One of the best scenes in the entire book features the two men who think they are in charge, the first being Mr. Bones and the second Carcharo and when push comes to shove, they end up doing just that. The fight between them is short-lived though as Carcharo bites off the left leg of Mr. Bones, forgetting that the villain has cyanide skin which thereby guarantees his death in a most gruesome manner. As for Mr. Bones, before he can bleed out, the new Doctor Midnight steps in to save his life as only she can do and the book ends with Helix headed back to prison, though just how long they end up staying there remains to be seen. Thomas also throws in one other small plot point involving Brainwave which should make things interesting for him and the rest of the team at some future point.
