Polemachus seems like it is a million miles away and with every step and every situation that Arkon takes or finds himself in, it only gets farther and harder to reach. At the moment, Arkon is battling Skull the Slayer, a brute of a man sent by Morgan Le Fey to kill him. It is nothing he has not faced before a thousand times before, but then he has never faced anything quite like the terrain of Weirdworld and it as much as Skull, could be his downfall. Arkon’s adventures continue with an incredible story by Jason Aaron and some really powerful artistic wizardry courtesy of Mike Del Mundo and Marco D’Alfonso. The book is the best-looking title to come from Marvel at the moment and every page is a visual masterpiece of fantasy and horror. There are two things of note that happen in this issue, one being the introduction of the Man-Things and the second being the fact that they are under the control of Jennifer Kale, who is a welcome addition to the book and a perfect fit as well with all of the other characters who have been introduced so far. What is a little interesting about this latest plot development is that Kale seems to have a little more power under her belt in this alternate dimension and it sees her as being the leader of a type of resistance against Le Fey. The star of the show though is Arkon, who cannot seemingly catch a break. All he wants to do is go home and it is a task that he fears he will never be able to complete. As readers watch him do this, one can see him breaking down ever so slowly as Weirdworld takes its toll upon him. A person can only absorb so much insanity before they themselves start to go mad as well and by the end of the issue, it looks to be as if Arkon has reached his breaking point. At some point, one would think that Arkon would catch a break and until then, it is hopeful that this is not the end of our hero as he has been a lot of fun to read about and travel with.
