For the most part, while this issue was enjoyable to a point, it would begin with a scene that should never have made it into the book, one where The Entity – who is the darker side of Professor X, essentially raped Dani Moonstar with his mind, thinking her soft and supple and easy prey for his ‘insatiable lusts.’ It was distasteful to say the least and would definitely make readers wonder just what it was Chris Claremont and Bill Mantlo were thinking when they decided to go ahead and include this moment into an otherwise good story. If it were simply to prove that The Entity was a bad guy, there were other ways to go about it as proven earlier on in the series. That being said, the book picks up a little in pacing and action as the Micronauts and the X-Men pass through the barrier separating Earth from the Microverse in order that they might stop The Entity from doing any further harm. Drawn by Butch Guice, the man illustrates three battles that take place within, the first finding the two teams trying to fend off the New Mutants who are now enthralled to the enemy while the second finds Professor X trying to defeat his other-self. The third is between Karza and Kitty Pryde, the latter wanting her body back and finally made possible thanks to Fireflyte and the incredible song she sings. There are a lot of unanswered questions by the time this book ends like did The Entity survive or is he truly dead and what about DeGrayde and his treachery? Will it go unpunished or be taken care of in the regular Micronauts title? Is Bioship going to be okay and does Professor X truly feel attracted to all the young ladies that attend his school, specifically Kitty Pryde? One cannot help but feel that those scenes involving Kitty and Dani definitely left a damper on the series, making it far less exciting than it should have been and while there was a lot of action to be had, the book looking especially good, no matter how much enjoyment there was to be found, it was hard to reconcile it with the awfulness found within.
