Wicked Bears is a punk/pop-punk group from Salt Lake City and while you might not associate punk with that particular burg, you will now after listening to this fantastic new band.  If you have ever listened to the Ramones or Descendents, then you will get an idea as to just what Wicked Bears sound like.  One of the better things about their music is that like all good bands of the genre, their lyrics tell a story and yet at the same time while they speak a truth, there is a bit of wry humour to be found within them at times.  Being only six songs and running under twenty minutes, it might seem short, but sometimes good things come in small packages and that adage applies directly to Wicked Bears and their self-titled album.  If you enjoy the punk genre and just happen to be looking for something new or something with a bit of an old-school sound, then Wicked Bears is definitely going to fit that bill.  Hopefully they stick around for a long time to come.
