Saturday Soundtracks – Whiplash (2014)

Even if you do not enjoy jazz music, when you watch this movie you cannot help but be moved by it. The music is as integral to the film as the script and it conveys every emotion that each character might be feeling while simultaneously creating it in you. A good soundtrack has such a power and no matter the genre, when it is as moving and as strong as the music represented in this film, you feel it. One of the highlights of course is Duke Ellington and Juan Tizol’s Caravan, placed near the beginning of this soundtrack in comparison to the film on which it ended.  It is good music to keep busy by and good music just to listen to and if given a chance – guaranteed you will love it.
