Sunday Sessions – Ennio Morricone

When you watch a western film, one of the greats or not, there is a very good chance that Ennio Morricone was the man who scored it. Whether it be the Dollars Trilogy starring Clint Eastwood or even newer fare like the upcoming The Hateful Eight by Quentin Tarantino, Morricone nails down the feel of what it was like to live during that time period. But the man would not only limit himself to that either, as he has scored innumerable films of every genre. Films like Once Upon a Time in America, The Untouchables, Cinema Paradiso, Days of Heaven and The Thing are just a few that feature his glorious sound. What is really great to see is that after fifty years in the business of making music, he is still going strong and creating pieces of art that will last for all time. Below is a selection of clips that will keep you entertained for many hours and provide just a glimpse into the genius that is Ennio Morricone.
