After declaring war, the United States and S.H.I.E.L.D. up their game by using psychics to pinpoint Wraith locations with deadly accuracy. It is so deadly in fact, that once they find them, the Wraith sorceresses kill the psychics. So something is needed to help the human race out even further and that just happens to be Doctor Strange. Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema continue to bring the action and excitement in the latest chapter of Rom’s ongoing battle against the Wraith invasion of Earth. It has taken a long time, but after finally gaining the trust of the government, Rom is finally making a little headway against his hated foes. A good thing to see is that his confidence is back and he hopes to try once again to regain his humanity once the war is over and behind him. The same cannot be said of Starshine who, though confidant, is maybe overly so and hiding the pain she truly feels deep inside over the death of her family and friends. For the moment she is simply a machine of vengeance and she is going to do whatever it takes to destroy the Wraiths once and for all. Another player in the game at this point is Nick Fury who still can hardly believe everything that is going on and yet here it all is in front of his very eyes, aliens, cyborgs and Doctor Strange to boot. For their part, the Wraiths have some sort of diabolical plan in mind, more than one in fact because every time that Rom finds a way to put a stop to them, they are always up to something else. This time it has to do with the blood supply at a hospital and if it works there, it will most likely do the same everywhere so Rom had better up his game if he is to succeed. A lot of action, drama, intrigue and tension and just to add a little icing on the cake, Mantlo brings in Rick Jones, though what part he will play remains to be seen.
