The fifty-first issue of the All-Star Squadron’s ongoing title is perhaps its most ridiculous and the worst one published as of yet. The whole issue essentially features a newly reformed Monster Society of Evil made up of obscure and Z-list villains, contracted by the cartoon worm called Mister Mind to put a hurt on the Justice Society. The only members that are present though are Dr. Fate, Hourman and Hawkgirl who also get an assist from Sandy, Sandman’s sidekick. This issue also features a character named Ramulus, a name so incredibly terrible that it makes you want to finish the story even faster than you did before. Other than seeing Dr. Fate in action, there is little to recommend in this book. It was fairly terrible and Roy Thomas, who has been delivering a very solid series up until now, really let the ball drop with this one. Not good at all.
