The All-Star Squadron have gone over to Great Britain at Winston Churchill’s request as Sir Justin; the Shining Knight has gone missing. So it is that our heroes team up with the Blackhawks and head to a part of the land where fabled Camelot once stood to find out the fate of their missing friend. The story is solid and features some fairly standard battle scenes involving our heroes and while it is always good to see the Squadron in battle it is doubly so here as they are joined by the Blackhawks. Another fun thing that Roy Thomas injects into the series is the use of Camelot, King Arthur and Merlin and the addition of a surprise villain. The cast this time out features more classic Squadron members than Justice Society members which is good to see and it is also nice to have Sir Justin back in the title as well, if only for a few moments. The artwork is a little different than what is normally seen as guest penciller Mike Harris comes on board, and it is not terrible per se, just not as polished as previous pencillers. Other than a little intrigue and action, not too much happens in this issue though with the ending and the surprise villain that is revealed, next issue should ramp things up.
