One of the biggest festivals in the world to focus on independent and alternative acts that you may or may not have heard of is called Primavera Sound. Taking place in Barcelona, you can find bands as diverse as Foxygen playing alongside Belle & Sebastian or Thee Oh Sees and Run the Jewels. It is a big, three day festival that may not feature the acts you know and love, but is a great way to discover something new, not to mention enjoying some of the best music in the world.
