The finale to the latest big story-arc by Roy Thomas and Rick Hoberg happens here and while it may not end well for all involved, Baron Blitzkrieg is defeated, the two Earth’s are saved and Johnny Quick gets the girl in the end.  The cover to this issue proclaims that an All-Star will die in this issue and yes, they do.  Thankfully it is not one of the main members we have come to know and love, but it is a sad moment nonetheless.  That sacrifice does lead to our heroes eventually gaining the upper hand though and the downfall of Baron Blitzkrieg.  The book is pretty much non-stop action due to it being the final chapter of this particular storyline though there is time for Thomas to reveal that Hourman is addicted to Miraclo and has been for some time, but had been conducting experiments involving black light to kick the addiction yet still gain the same powers.  It was not necessarily buried in the book, but it was the most interesting part of the entire story.  And finally, while Hourman was the most intriguing part and our heroes saved the day, the best part of the book was seeing Johnny and Liberty Belle become a couple.  It was hard to say if it would have ever come to pass the way they were fighting and the way Johnny was acting, as pigheaded as anyone could have ever been.  But now, all that has come to an end and it will be fun to see where they take their newfound relationship and just how it will affect their time on the team.  A good issue by the creative team made all the better by the inclusion of two little moments.
