On New Year’s Eve, Queen rocked Big Ben by playing Westminster Hall with singer Adam Lambert taking the lead and doing an amazing job in the process. When Freddie Mercury died all those years ago, it left the band in a state of flux. Do they keep going, do they stop, what if they do and what if they don’t? Suffice it to say, the band kept going, kept the name and went through a number of singers over the years to varying degrees of success. It was a little doubtful that when it was decided to go with former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert, things were going to be very good. What happened was Lambert proving himself a highly capable singer and a worthy successor to Freddie Mercury. Queen has not sounded this good in a long time, and for those that doubt the man and the band, they only have to watch the video below.

I saw them in Montreal last summer- they were fantastic. Adam is definitely a worthy frontman for Queen.

At first, I didn’t think he really fit, but he just gets better and better. He definitely has what it takes.
