The latest issue of The Warlord finds our hero out on the road once again after just reuniting with Mariah, this time to find out what has happened to his daughter Jennifer. So it is that along the way, he runs into a bit of trouble, of course, and he must overcome it before moving on. This issue of The Warlord was quite good except it followed the same formula as many of his adventures were wont to do. It saw Morgan on his way towards a goal, get sidetracked by a con-man, forced to do a quest for said person, and then return to right the wrong done him. So, overly familiar, but a fun adventure nonetheless. Probably the most interesting thing about this whole issue is the moment when Morgan runs out of bullets. The one thing this book seems to perpetuate is Morgan’s gun with its eternal supply of ammunition, so it was nice to see that he did eventually run out and to also learn how he goes about restocking his supply. Also, Shakira returned which was great to see. The artwork was as fantastic and as detailed as ever and the writing continues to be engaging and often exciting, but it would be nice to see something a little other than the norm.
