Morgan is on his way back to Shamballah with Shakira when they run into enemy forces at the gates.  There is nothing to do except beat them back and save the city, and Tara, even if Travis has to do it himself.  The forty-second chapter of The Warlord is jam-packed with action from cover to cover and it takes no time at all to read this issue as the pace is lightning fast.  It is really good to see Morgan back in the thick of things and on his home turf, though he has yet to make up with his lady-love.  Shakira is still nice and sarcastic which is good to see as she really adds a light-hearted touch to the book, not to mention some sort of romantic connection between she and Morgan has yet to be fully explored.  Though Tara and Shakira have met, it will be most interesting to see the two sit down and have a conversation.  The one little downside to this story is the logic of it, as when Morgan left and went on his travels, creator Mike Grell had an enemy force outside of Shamballah, and now, assumedly many months later, there is still a force outside of Shamballah.  So either it is the same group of men, or the first group got tired and gave up, or the people of Shamballah have been able to hold them off for quite some time.  It is doubtful it will ever be explained, but it would be nice to at least have a mention of what exactly happened in that time period at some point.  As an added bonus to the issue, there is another little tale of OMAC which was fairly decent.
