Travis and Shakira are making their way into town and it just so happens to be the land where his old friend Ashir lives and rules. Meeting up, the two reminisce about old times and Ashir reveals that the ruling life is not for him; especially as he has to get married to a woman he has never seen for the betterment of two kingdoms. The woman he has to marry just so happens to be Tara, the woman Morgan loves. Grell delivers a fun story with this issue as Ashir is always good for comic relief and with Shakira’s biting comments, it makes it all the better. Seeing Tara again was good, though the circumstances are obviously not the best for Morgan. It might be a good thing though as he abandoned her so long ago and it seems as if he had all but forgotten her at times while he was out and about travelling the countryside. There is a bit of action interspersed throughout the book and it keeps things lively which this issue definitely was. There is no OMAC as a second feature in this book, but there is a Wizard World tale with Mariah and Machiste. So far the Wizard World tales have been all right, but that is about as good as it gets – all right. It would be great to see both of Travis’ friends returned to their proper time so that we might get some proper adventuring from the two, but time will tell as they say. Definitely a book that was a lot of fun, more so than usual.
