The Wombats – Your Body is a Weapon
Really loving the new Wombats song. It is more reminiscent of the Love, Loss and Desperation album than the Modern Glitch record which is pretty cool. Almost like a lost track, but altogether new. Looking forward to a new EP or even, let us hope a new album. This band cannot do any wrong. The music is fun and exciting, even when singing about subjects that do not have a right to be. The video is especially great with the band trying out an animated sequence instead of the conventional approach.[youtube\http://youtu.be/2Q74TyTUrTo]
2NE1 – Missing You
It looks as if 2NE1 with their comeback song Missing You are looking at a hit. In a single day they have wracked up 1.7 million views and counting. Pretty good start. The song is fantastic, full of longing and loneliness with a lot of imagery to support it such as a lone flower, a lone piano, and the girls sitting all introspective and sad. Dara, Bom, Minzy and CL are great on vocals per usual and should be good on stage when they debut the song. Seems a lot of fuss is being made over Bom’s plastic surgery and a little bit less over CL’s nude scene, which is a shame as a whole, as the focus should be on the talent of which there is much to be had.[youtube\http://youtu.be/AG0jlKdB1s0]
Múm – When Girls Collide (Jónsi Ibiza Anthem Remix)
This track came out a little while ago, and Jónsi’s remix a little while after that, but even after some more time – it is still a damn good remix from the Icelandic frontman.
Grouplove – Ways To Go (Captain Cuts Remix)
Grouplove’s new song gets the remix treatement and the result is pretty cool. The original is great of course, but this remix turns up the funk a bit more and accentuates the electronic side of things by upping it a couple of notches. Great stuff!
Crystal Castles – Affection (Tarantula X rmx)
The great thing about this song is that when it starts up, it sounds as if it could be an old-school Snoop Dogg tune. Awesome work by Tarantula X on a great Crystal Castles track.
Flinch – You Don’t Know (Ft. Ellie Goulding)
Awesome new dubstep from Flinch with Ellie Goulding on vocals. Features some dark, strong beats perfectly complimenting the lightness of Goudling’s voice. Her best song in the last little while, even better than Burn.
