So I have currently watched about half of what was televised of the festival.  Some really great acts this go round took to the stage this year.  And for me, I am glad to see that they were all fresh and current artists.  Now, I don’t have a problem with bands from any other era – I listen to just about everything and enjoy a great deal.  But I do enjoy seeing newer bands as they and their music just seem so energetic and electric.

So what we got were some dj’s, some rappers, and some young and talented singers.  We got some young up and comers and some indie darlings like Haim – who are just fantastic.  There was Vampire Weekend, Paramore, Ellie Goulding, Calvin Harris, Two Door Cinema Club, Kodaline, Rita Ora, Laura Mvula and so many more.  A great Big Weekend indeed!
