BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend is this very weekend, with more to come tonight. A lot of great artists took the stage so far in Glasgow the past two days and looks […]
Sunday Sessions – BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend
Song of the Day: Tom Jones – I’m Coming Home
Sir Tom Jones has sung many a good song over his lengthy career, with this one being one of his best.
Song of the Day: Down With Webster – Chills
[youtube\http://youtu.be/jTCQD5cjF-w] Another great song from Down With Webster, a band that deserves to be far bigger than they are.
Song of the Day: La Roux – Let Me Down Gently
[youtube\http://youtu.be/KlyDYI_ddZY] Been awhile since we saw La Roux. But now she’s back with a new song that starts off slow then picks up the pace about halfway through. It is not the […]
Song of the Day: Paloma Faith – Only Love Can Hurt Like This (Adam Turner Remix)
[youtube\http://youtu.be/OvAoSXd7g0M] Another case where a remix accentuates the original vocals and the song instead of overpowering it. Great stuff!
Song of the Day: BANKS – Drowning
A new BANKS tune to start the day off right. Her album is going to be one to look for if all of the great songs she keeps releasing are anything to […]
Song of the Day: Galantis – You (Still Young Remix)
[youtube\http://youtu.be/P4iJpwGuPk4] Great upbeat track for a new day. Fun, fresh and fast-paced.
Song of the Day: Ed Townsend – For Your Love
[youtube\http://youtu.be/D5jGHZzpQ9k] One of the greatest songs ever written and sung beautifully by the man who did so, Ed Townsend, this doo wop classic is still fantastic over 50 years later.
Song of the Day: Tom Cochrane – Sinking Like A Sunset
[youtube\http://youtu.be/xulDj5HZKAw] Arguably, Cochrane’s best song. Some people might like Life is a Highway or Big League or Boy Inside the Man. For my money, this is it.
Song of the Day: Tim McMorris – A Beautiful Life
[youtube\http://youtu.be/kzdQHFnc_6o] A recommendation from a friend, and a good one at that.
