Unlike some festivals this year, crime at Reading was down twenty percent, or at least crimes that were reported. It is a little sad to think that at this point in the game, that is one of the leading stories to come out of the event and that people talk more about the crimes that take place during festivals than they do of the music. Despite that fact, Reading put on a very incredible show with a truly varied lineup of artists that really gave people a good choice in who to see on what stage. Headlining the main stage this year were the Red Hot Chilli Peppers who have been having quite the banner year, Biffy Clyro who came back with a very ambitious album and Foals, a group you would not have expected to ever headline a festival, but a well-deserved vote of confidence in having them up there. Every band killed it including those aforementioned three and whether you were there to see the likes of The Wombats, Disclosure, Sleeping With Sirens, Sigma, Crystal Castles, Disciples, Mastodon, Courteeners or whomever – you were sure to have a great time. Check out some of the acts below to get a taste of what went down this year.

My 17 year old son went this year, his second time, and his stand out performance was from ‘Twenty One Pilots’. I haven’t been since 1983!
