Welcome back to Loveita’s house, for now anyways. Everyone in the BBCan house is freaking out right now because Loveita went from the top to the bottom and then back up to the top again, and no one (including Loveita herself) knows what she’s going to do. Is she going to target Kelsey once again? Or will she put the past behind her and target someone else this week? It seems like everyone has different feelings about Loveita being named HoH again.
Tim, first of all, is excited. He’s like the ultimate spectator. He knows that he’s safe, so he’s just ready to watch the fireworks fly. The brothers are happy because they’re flying way under the radar. Cassandra figures she’s safe, since she’d campaigned for Loveita to stay last week. According to her, she’s pretty much the reason why Loveita is still in the game at all.
And Kelsey and Jared are freaking out a little bit. Or a lot, especially Kelsey, and it’s her own fault. Last week, Jared had tried to get everyone to get rid of Loveita, but Kelsey had a master plan. I’m really not sure what she was thinking, but she was so proud of herself for deciding to vote out Sharry instead. And now that Loveita is HoH, Kelsey is angry, complaining that she’d told everyone that they should’ve gotten rid of Loveita first. She fully blames everyone else for voting out Sharry when it was clearly her idea to begin with! She sounds like the typical villain, thinking herself so much smarter than everyone else and then blaming everyone else when the plan backfires. She can’t even admit her mistake when Jared argues with her about what actually happened. He gets so frustrated with her that he eventually has to leave the room. I don’t blame him. He had warned her what would happen if they didn’t vote Loveita out, but she wouldn’t listen, and now they’re in trouble. After this, I honestly don’t understand why Jared or Raul still want to work with her, when it’s absolutely clear that she’d throw anyone under the bus to save her own skin.
Loveita has no idea who to target this week. She talks to just about everyone in the house, and to me, the answer is pretty clear: target Kelsey. Just about everyone in the house tells her to do this, except, of course, Kelsey, Raul and Jared. But she’s not sure if she wants to make another big move. She’d done that the last time, and it completely backfired on her. She wonders if getting rid of a floater would be a better move for her so that she can lie low next week. Sigh. She frustrates the hell out of me.
But let’s take a break from that for a second, or I’m going to end up ranting, and no one wants that. Joel gets a call to head to the Have-Not room and is visited by Marsha the Moose, who has a mission for him. Since he’s never been on a date before, he’s got to ask out a fellow house guest and get permission to use the HoH room for the date. So, Joel asks Cassandra out on a date, and she says yes. Loveita gives him her permission to use the HoH room, so it’s all set. But that’s not all. Partway through the date, Joel has to dump her. Poor Joel! Never been on a date, and now he’s got to dump his first one? But he pulls it off. The two of them talk for a while, and she gives him some dating advice, and then he starts to get quiet and eventually ends the date, telling her he needs some space. Kudos to him for doing it—I don’t know if I’d be able to. He leaves the room and gets some comfort and advice from some of the other house guests, leaving Cassandra on her own, confused and rejected. It’s a first for her; she’s never been rejected before, and now she’s been thrown away by the ultimate nerd. Everything is fine a little while later though, when he explains the mission to everyone. They get a toastmasters party as a result, though it looks a little lame. It’s basically just a handful of plates of finger foods. But hey, I guess it means they don’t have to cook?
We also get notice that two Have-Nots had broken the rules by eating regular food. At one point throughout the week, Tim gave Cassandra a bite of yogurt, and Nick fed Joel some sort of candy. As a result of the rule-breaking, these two will be Have-Nots again this week. Joel is just glad that the whole house didn’t get punished for something he did, but Cassandra is pissed and blames Tim for her rule-breaking. I feel no sympathy. She didn’t have to eat the food he offered her so it’s her own fault.
Alright, back to Loveita’s big decision. The more she talks to everyone, the more confused she gets. She’s starting to understand that everyone wants her to make the move that would be best for their game, not necessarily hers. Duh! Once again, I question whether she’s actually seen the show before. Jared tells her that he wants to work with her, and she’s open to it, as long as they promise to not nominate her until jury. Jared is okay with it, so she talks to Raul and Kelsey, who both agree, but as soon as she’s out of the room, Kelsey goes straight to Cassandra and complains about Loveita. I’m really not a fan of Kelsey, and I hope that someone will just get rid of her.
Loveita is leaning toward working with Jared and Kelsey and Raul because they can keep her safe, but she doesn’t trust Kelsey at all because Kelsey is just a miserable person. When Mitch asks her who would target her next week, Loveita’s immediate response is Kelsey, and she’s right. Mitch’s advice is to listen to her gut and go after the person who would target her, but Loveita is afraid to make a big move again. Why should she, when Jared, Kelsey and Raul can keep her safe?
So her short list is Cassandra, Christine, Raul and Kelsey, and in the end, she nominates Christine and Cassandra, who, of course, do not take the news well. Personally, I think Loveita made a huge mistake. Keeping a strong alliance in the game is dangerous, and she has to know that she’d be at the bottom of that pecking order if they do all get that far. Not only that, but now she has twice as many enemies, since Christine and Cassandra are now both determined to get rid of her next week. And Kelsey, Raul, and Jared can only save her if one of them wins HoH. If Cassandra or Christine wins, she’s screwed. She’d thought that by going after floaters, she’d be safer next week, but she couldn’t be more wrong. In my opinion, the only way she can save herself is if she back-door Kelsey. Just about everyone in the house wants her gone anyway, or at least, they want the alliance split up. She’d be doing almost everyone a favour. She’d probably even be doing Jared a favour in the long run if Kelsey was booted. Like Nikki says, she seems like a terrible person, and Jared is a good guy. He could do so much better.
What did you guys think of the episode? Who do you think will end up going home? Will Loveita change her mind and backdoor Kelsey (fingers crossed)? Stay tuned to find out! Wednesday’s recap will be up a little bit late, as Marianas Trench is playing that night, and I’m working the show. I may not get to watch until Thursday. Here’s hoping that by that time, Loveita will come to her senses!

Another good review, Rebecca. I agree, get Kelsey out. It’s frustrating how Loevita is so close to realizing their deceit, but doesn’t nominate her. Cassandra is cut throat and not be trusted either. I hope Kelsey gets the backdoor. Jared seems solid, so Loveita may be able to convince him of Kelsey’s emotional gameplay and lies. I was shocked when she said her idea was to keep Sharry. It looks like this HoH could be wasted. I’m looking forward to next episode though. Go Tim!

The ridiculous part is that she knows that Kelsey can’t be trusted, but she’s content to keep her around anyway. And she doesn’t see that nominating two lesser players will also get her into trouble, especially Cassandra. If she doesn’t back door Kelsey and convince Cass and Christine that it was her plan all along, she’ll be screwed. And if Kelsey and Cassandra make it through the week, I think they’ll definitely work together to get rid of Loveita, no matter the deal Kelsey made with her. I totally think this is a wasted HoH as well.

You have a great plan there. Loveita should have went with her gut instead.
