Music in film has always been important. It can accentuate a scene in many different ways, making it more or less powerful, emotional and so on. Done right, whether as a score or an actual song, it makes the film much more enjoyable. Done incorrectly, the music can help break a film and ruin it for the audience. Christmas films often feature music, sometimes quite a bit as they tend to be just a little more festive than your average movie. Here are some examples of not only good films, but movies that feature really good music that works well and helps to enhance your viewing experience.
Love Actually – Good King Wenceslas
Love Actually – Christmas is All Around
Holiday Inn – White Christmas
Meet Me in St. Louis – Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
The Bells of St. Mary’s – The Bells of St. Mary’s
The Lemon Drop Kid – Silver Bells
White Christmas – Snow
Elf – Baby It’s Cold Outside
