When you talk punk rock, at least within the last few decades, there is a good chance one of the bands you discuss will have recorded with Fat Wreck Chords. Co-founded by Fat Mike of NOFX twenty-five years ago, the label has been the home to many well-known punk bands including Lagwagon, No Use for a Name, Good Riddance, Descendents, Anti-Flag, Mad Caddies, The Lawrence Arms, Rise Against, The Ataris, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Less Than Jake, Against Me! and the aforementioned NOFX among many, many others. Without Fat Wreck Chords, it is hard to say if many of these bands would have made it if not given a chance to record an album at the label, but thankfully that is what they do, give bands a chance and thanks to them, we have had and continue to have a lot of great music to listen to. Here is hoping that Fat Wreck Chords has another great twenty-five years ahead of them.
