Yesterday, Coldplay released a new song to the world entitled Midnight.  It is a definite departure from anything they have ever done previously and for some, will recall the sounds of Bon Iver.  Is it a natural progression, a case of trying to hard or simply an experiment?  The second half is stronger than the first as the song picks up steam, but is it single-worthy?  That is up to the band, but seeing this song on top of the charts is probably unlikely.  Give it a listen and judge for yourself.
